STE UNZIPTECH SARL (“Unziptech”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) places the utmost importance on protecting your personal data. This policy describes how we collect, use, retain, and protect your data, in accordance with Moroccan Law No. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and its implementing decrees, as well as international best practices in privacy.

2. Personal Data Collected

Depending on your interaction with our services, we may collect:

2.1 Data you provide directly

3. Processing Purposes

Your data is processed for the following purposes:

  • Service delivery — performing contracts concluded with our clients
  • Commercial communications — informing you of our offers and news (with your consent where required)
  • Service improvement — analysing website usage to improve features and performance
  • Legal and accounting obligations — complying with applicable Moroccan laws
  • Security and fraud prevention — protecting our systems and detecting malicious activity

4. Legal Basis for Processing

In accordance with Law 09-08, each processing activity is based on one of the following legal grounds:

  • Your consent — for marketing communications and non-essential cookies
  • Contract performance — for the provision of our services
  • Legal obligation — for accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements
  • Legitimate interest — for system security and service improvement

5. Data Retention Periods

  • Contact data (prospects): 3 years from the last contact
  • Client data (contracts): 10 years from the end of the contractual relationship, in accordance with Moroccan accounting obligations
  • Navigation data and technical logs: maximum 12 months
  • Analytical cookies: maximum 13 months
  • Application data: 2 years from the last contact

Beyond these periods, your data is irreversibly deleted or anonymised.

6. Your Rights

In accordance with Articles 7 to 12 of Law 09-08, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access — obtain a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Right of rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to object — object to certain processing, particularly for commercial prospecting
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of your data in cases provided for by law
  • Right to restriction of processing — restrict the use of your data in certain cases
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, readable format
  • Withdrawal of consent — withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before such withdrawal

7. Data Sharing and Recipients

Your data is never sold to third parties. It may however be shared with the following categories of recipients, strictly within the purposes described:

  • Technical service providers — hosting provider, analytics tools, CRM (subject to contractual confidentiality obligations)
  • Payment partners — approved payment processors, where applicable
  • Competent authorities — upon judicial requisition or legal obligation

Each sub-processor is bound by a contract guaranteeing a level of protection equivalent to that required by Law 09-08.

8. International Data Transfers

Some of our technical service providers (hosting, analytics tools) may be established outside Morocco. In such cases, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place — in particular through standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms — to ensure an adequate level of protection for your data, in accordance with Article 43 of Law 09-08.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or accidental or unlawful destruction:

  • Encrypted communications (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Access control and strong internal authentication
  • Regular encrypted backups
  • System access monitoring and logging
  • Regular staff training on best practices

In the event of a data breach likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you as soon as possible, in accordance with applicable legal obligations.

10. CNDP Compliance

The personal data processing carried out by STE UNZIPTECH SARL has been declared or is subject to an authorisation procedure with the Commission Nationale de Contrôle de la Protection des Données à Caractère Personnel (CNDP), in accordance with Law 09-08 requirements.
